Biological activity:
Bismuth subgallate, a hemostatic agent, acts on coagulation factor XII, leading to activation of the coagulation cascade and improving the early formation of fibrin clots. Chemical properties Bright yellow crystals, odorless and tasteless. Almost insoluble in water, alcohol, ether and chloroform, but soluble in dilute alkali solution.
